Archived legal edition 2026-10-24.1. These documents preserve this edition; they are not necessarily the current offer.

Terms of use

Effective 24 October 2026.

These terms explain your account, what you buy, how to use ExamATP and your rights if something goes wrong. Read them with our privacy notice and refund policy.

1. Who supplies the service

ExamATP is operated by ReplorAI (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa. Our contact and business details, including the address for legal documents, are on the Contact page.

ExamATP is initially intended for customers in South Africa.

2. Educational use

ExamATP is an AI study assistant. You can ask educational questions, upload supported exam papers or images, work through explanations, and request lessons, diagrams and interactive study activities. You can download supported lessons as PDFs. It supplements your teachers, textbooks and official assessment materials.

Use ExamATP for learning and exam preparation. It is not a school, accredited qualification or emergency service. AI can misunderstand requests or produce unsuitable content.

3. Eligibility, accounts and guardian permission

You must be at least 13 years old to hold an ExamATP account or use its interactive study features. Children under 13 may not use those features, including through an adult's account. Guardian permission does not override this minimum age. ExamATP supports school and tertiary study; a school grade or institution does not establish age or replace the permission required below.

4. Prices and what a plan includes

Where available, a verified account may try one free answer to a typed or pasted question of up to 2,000 characters. The offer is limited to one claim per person and browser on a device, subject to abuse checks and available capacity. Signing out, switching accounts or deleting a chat does not renew it. Uploads, additional tools and follow-up questions require a plan. No payment card is required for the free answer and it does not start a subscription. An interrupted answer may be retried once with the same question in the same chat, within 24 hours.

Each plan is a one-time purchase for one calendar month from activation, including the study allowance shown below. It does not renew automatically. Prices are in South African rand and include any applicable VAT and fees. The checkout price is the total we charge.

PlanPriceMonthly allowanceStraight away
StudyR99300 usage units50 usage units
PlusR149450 usage units75 usage units
MaxR299900 usage units150 usage units

See pricing for plan availability and file limits.

Your receipt records the offer and terms that apply to your purchase. Later changes do not remove rights attached to that purchase.

Invitation rewards

When study plans are available, a friend who has never paid for a plan can use your invitation link before their first purchase. Once that payment is confirmed, their first paid month receives 15 extra usage units and you earn 30. Signing up alone does not award units. You cannot invite yourself, each account can qualify through one invitation only, and later purchases do not repeat either reward.

Your first 10 qualifying referral payments in any rolling 30 days earn you units. Further referrals in that window still reward the friend, but do not earn you a reward later. Your units are added to your current paid month. If you have no paid month, they wait for your next purchase. Earned units awaiting activation are shown in your invitation panel. Once added, promotional units expire with that month and do not carry forward or reduce the price of another month. A full refund or a payment dispute resolved against us removes rewards from that payment that are still pending or unused.

5. Checkout, activation and refunds

Review the plan, total price and start information before continuing. You can go back and correct your selection or leave before paying. Yoco handles the payment methods shown at checkout; we do not receive your full card number or card security code. We activate purchases after confirming payment. Keep your payment reference and receipt; receipts can also be opened from your account's payment history.

Continuing to payment requests activation after payment is confirmed. Your cancellation and refund rights are explained in the refund policy. You can save or print these pages in your browser and request a transaction record from us.

6. Your materials and generated work

Upload only material you may lawfully use. A paper may belong to its publisher, examination body, school or author; uploading it does not transfer that ownership to you or us. Remove unnecessary names, ID numbers, marks and other people's personal information before upload. Do not upload confidential exam papers or material obtained unlawfully.

You retain any rights you hold in your material. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, process and display it and send the relevant content to service providers to deliver your requested study features, secure the service and resolve support issues. This permission lasts only as needed for those purposes and any lawful retention described in our privacy notice; it does not transfer ownership to us. We do not use your study content to train our own models. The privacy notice explains provider processing, access and retention. Keep your own copy of uploaded work.

You may use the answers and lessons for your own study, subject to any rights in the original materials. AI output may be similar to other output, contain errors or include third-party material. We do not promise that it is unique or eligible for copyright protection. ExamATP's branding and software belong to us or our licensors. We are not endorsed by an examination body merely because you use one of its papers here.

To report an infringement, use Contact and identify the work, your authority to act, the location of the disputed material and how we can reach you. We may restrict access while reviewing the complaint and give the affected user an opportunity to respond.

7. Responsible use

Follow your institution's academic integrity rules. Do not use ExamATP in a test or examination without permission or submit generated work as your own where prohibited. Do not use it for harassment, unlawful content, unauthorised access, malicious uploads, resale or attempts to evade security, payment or usage limits.

8. AI accuracy and your rights

AI can make mistakes. Answers, calculations, diagrams and references may be wrong or incomplete. Check important answers against reliable study sources and ask a teacher when unsure. Generated answers are not official marking memoranda. ExamATP is a study aid, and using it does not guarantee a particular mark, pass or other academic outcome.

Nothing in these terms limits your consumer or privacy rights, excuses us from the service standards required by law, or requires you to waive a claim against us. Your rights and our responsibilities are determined by applicable law, including the Consumer Protection Act, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act and POPIA. Refunds, service corrections and other remedies required by law, and the additional refunds promised in our refund policy, remain available. Using a service provider does not remove duties that the law places on us.

Features may change and outages may occur. We will not use a change to remove an existing paid entitlement without an appropriate remedy. Tell us about a material service failure using the refund policy.

9. Changes and ending your account

We will tell you about material changes to these terms and request a new agreement where required. Changes do not remove rights attached to earlier purchases.

We may restrict an account to investigate fraud, protect users or address a breach of these terms. Where lawful and practicable, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond. Suspension is not an automatic forfeiture of any statutory refund right.

You can delete your account in Settings, under Account. Save anything you need first and contact us about pending payments or refunds. Deletion ends access; it does not itself request a refund or erase records we lawfully need to retain. See the privacy notice for details.

10. Questions and disputes

Contact support@examatp.com with your concern. South African law governs these terms. You may use any competent court, consumer authority, ombud or Information Regulator process available by law. You do not have to give up those rights or accept private arbitration to use ExamATP.

Privacy notice

Effective 24 October 2026.

What ExamATP collects, how we use it to provide educational assistance, who receives it, and how to exercise your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

1. Who is responsible

ReplorAI (Pty) Ltd, trading as ExamATP, is the responsible party. Our physical address is 297 Mountbatten Drive, Reservoir Hills, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, 4090, South Africa. Our Information Officer is Ashik Sewpersad. Contact support@examatp.com or 076 589 5533. See also Contact and our PAIA manual.

2. Information, sources and purposes

An email and provider identity, the required declarations and a valid account agreement are necessary to use an account. Guardian details and consent are required for a learner aged 13 to 17. Payment information is required when buying; a study question is required to get an answer. Uploading a paper and using an invitation are optional. Without an upload we cannot help with its contents, but you can ask a text-based educational question.

Remove unnecessary names, student numbers, signatures and other people's information from study files. ExamATP does not need identity documents, private medical information or payment credentials in a chat.

3. Reasons permitted by POPIA

We process necessary account, study and payment information to provide and administer the service you request. We use proportionate security, error and fraud information for our legitimate interest in protecting the service and its users, and retain records where law requires this. For children's ordinary account and study processing we rely on prior consent from a competent person, normally the parent or legal guardian. Consent can be withdrawn; mandatory legal recordkeeping may continue.

We do not sell personal information or operate advertising or marketing email campaigns. AI generates educational content; it does not award official grades or decide admission to an institution. Automated controls can restrict access when an allowance, payment or security check fails. You can ask us to review an apparent error.

4. Who receives information

Your own conversations are private to your account; the app does not offer public chat sharing. A separate example conversation selected by us is readable by visitors. We do not make your work an example merely because you upload it.

5. Processing outside South Africa

Our hosting is in the European Union. AI and other provider processing may occur in the United States or other countries outside South Africa. This can include your study content, account information and support records.

Foreign transfers must meet POPIA's requirements for protection under applicable law or binding agreements, or another permitted basis. Children's information may require additional authorisation. Contact our Information Officer for the recipients and safeguards relevant to your information.

6. Retention and deletion

7. Age limits and guardian permission

ExamATP accounts and interactive study features are for people aged 13 or older. For a learner aged 13 to 17, a parent or legal guardian with authority to consent must complete the declarations personally before account sign-in and use. We record the declaration with the account.

We also send a guardian account notice with a private link to request closure. Permission must be given before use; an unanswered notice does not give permission. The Parents and guardians notice explains the processing and how to withdraw permission. Contact us if a child under 13 has an account or a learner used the service without valid permission.

8. Cookies and browser storage

The free first-answer offer uses a signed browser cookie, lasting up to 400 days, to limit repeat claims on the same browser. We keep keyed hashes of the verified email and browser identifier with the claim for the account’s lifetime and for 12 months after closure. A keyed network-address hash helps limit bursts of claims and is removed after 30 days. These records support abuse prevention, not advertising. Signing out or deleting a chat does not reset the offer. Browsers do not give us a guaranteed physical-device identity.

We use cookies and browser storage for sign-in, security and consent declarations, and to remember your study and display settings. An invitation link may set a referral cookie. We do not use advertising cookies. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in or payment-return features from working.

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and page views and understand broad trends in referring websites, approximate country, device and browser. It does not use analytics cookies. We remove page query strings and replace private page identifiers before sending page views, and exclude pages containing private access or payment references. We do not send chat content, uploaded work, account email addresses or payment details as analytics events. Visitor counts are estimates, rather than a list of named people.

9. Security and incidents

We use access checks, private file storage and time-limited file access links to limit access to study material. Online service connections use encryption. Access links should be treated as private. No service can guarantee that unauthorised access will never occur. Where POPIA requires notification of a security compromise, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected people as soon as reasonably possible, subject to lawful restrictions or delays.

10. Your rights and complaints

You may ask us, free of charge, to confirm whether we hold your personal information. You may request access, ask for correction or deletion where appropriate, object to processing on applicable grounds, or withdraw consent. We must stop processing that depends on withdrawn consent; withdrawal does not undo lawful processing already completed. If the information is necessary to provide your account, we may need to restrict or close it. We may retain only records with a continuing lawful basis, such as required legal records. Any permitted access or reproduction fee will be explained before it is charged.

Contact support@examatp.com. We may ask for proportionate evidence of identity or authority before releasing or changing information. We will explain any lawful reason for refusing a request. See our PAIA manual for formal access requests. You may complain directly to the Information Regulator without first obtaining our permission:

11. Changes to this notice

We will tell you about material changes. Where a new purpose needs your consent, we will ask before processing starts. You may save or print this notice.

Payments and refunds

Effective 24 October 2026.

Our refund policy, your consumer rights and how to get help.

This policy applies to all our study plans. See the plan prices and allowances in our terms of use.

We do not offer discretionary change-of-mind refunds. This does not limit any cancellation, refund or other remedy required by South African law.

When you can cancel or receive a refund

ECTA is the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act; CPA is the Consumer Protection Act. Contact us about duplicate or incorrect charges, unavailable services or a purchase made without required guardian approval.

Activation and failed tasks

If a received payment cannot be allocated, we will arrange the full access period or a full refund within 24 hours. Do not pay again to fix an unresolved payment.

When a month starts, you can use part of its allowance straight away, and your full allowance unlocks at 9am South African time the next day, as our terms describe. Contact us if it has not unlocked by then.

We attempt to restore the affected allowance when an answer fails. Check your usage history and report missing restorations, missing tasks or materially defective answers with the chat and approximate time.

Request help or a refund

Email support@examatp.com with your sign-in email, payment reference and what you are requesting. If unavailable, provide other reasonable evidence of payment. Never send passwords or card details. You can contact us after deleting your account; deletion does not itself request a refund.

We process refunds through Yoco to the original payment method where supported and tell you when submitted or failed. Bank processing times do not extend statutory refund deadlines.

Access during refunds and disputes

Pending, failed or completed partial refunds leave access in place. Once completed refunds total the purchase price, its allowance ends.

A bank dispute can restrict the affected units while the original expiry date continues running. Contact us about incorrect access or lost time so we can arrange the appropriate remedy. Your bank-dispute rights remain available. See our terms and contact details.

Parents and guardians

Effective 24 October 2026.

Please complete the consent steps personally for a learner aged 13 to 17. Children under 13 may not use an account. This notice explains the permission we request, what the learner can do and how to withdraw permission.

1. Who may give permission

For a learner aged 13 to 17, our ordinary account and study processing relies on prior consent from a competent person under POPIA, normally the parent or legal guardian with authority to consent for that child. An older friend, sibling or teacher does not automatically have that authority. Children under 13 may not hold an account or use the interactive study features, even with guardian permission. The learner must not tick the guardian declarations for you.

Read this notice and the privacy notice before the learner uses Google or Microsoft to sign in. Complete the agreement on the sign-in page with your name, email and guardian declaration. We also send an account notice to your email address, with a private link to request closure. You must personally give permission before the learner uses the account; an unanswered notice does not give permission.

2. The information and activities covered

You give permission for an account for the learner and for the processing described in the privacy notice: sign-in identity and session details; educational questions, papers and images; generated answers, lessons and diagrams; use of purchased allowances; and the records needed to administer consent, payments, support and security. We also use your name and email to record the declaration and deal with questions about permission. Our email provider receives the details needed to deliver the notice, including the learner's name and account email. The private link does not provide access to their chats.

Relevant study content goes to AI services. A requested PDF download uses a conversion service. Hosting and other processing can occur outside South Africa, including the EU and US. Foreign processing needs the legal safeguards described in the privacy notice; your declaration does not excuse those requirements. We do not sell learner information or send marketing email campaigns.

Help the learner remove names, student numbers and unnecessary private details from uploads. Teach them to check AI answers, which can contain mistakes or unsuitable content. ExamATP does not replace supervision.

3. Purchases and the terms

Help the learner read the terms and accept them with your assistance. Approve each purchase and its price, allowance, start date and when its full allowance unlocks separately, or pay for it yourself. Account consent is not permission for unlimited spending. Plans do not charge again automatically. The refund policy explains statutory rights, our additional promise and how to report an unauthorised purchase.

4. Reviewing or withdrawing permission

You may ask to review the learner's information, correct it, request deletion where appropriate, object on applicable grounds or withdraw consent for further processing. Contact support@examatp.com and identify the relevant account. We may need reasonable evidence of your identity and authority before disclosing or changing a child's information. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed.

Use the account-notice link or contact us to withdraw permission. We stop further study and purchases and arrange account closure. Withdrawal does not undo lawful earlier processing. Limited payment, dispute and closure records remain as explained in our privacy notice, including a closure record kept for 12 months. Contact us promptly if the learner used the service without permission.

When the learner turns 18, contact us to review the account's age band before they accept the terms in their own capacity. Contact us to correct an inaccurate age band too.

You may complain to the Information Regulator at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za. Full contact information and further rights appear in the privacy notice.

PAIA manual

Effective 24 October 2026.

How to request records held by ExamATP under section 51 of the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), and how to ask about your personal information.

1. The business and Information Officer

ReplorAI (Pty) Ltd operates ExamATP, an online AI study service. Legal status: a private company registered in South Africa. Our Information Officer and contact for requests is Ashik Sewpersad.

Further supplier details appear on Contact.

2. Help understanding your rights

The Information Regulator publishes a PAIA guide in South African languages and the prescribed forms. You can ask our Information Officer for help obtaining the guide or identifying the records you need. For general assistance, contact the Regulator at enquiries@inforegulator.org.za or 010 023 5200. Its address is Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Drive, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191.

3. Records available without a formal request

Our public terms, privacy notice, refund policy, guardian notice, business contact details and this manual can be read, saved or printed from the website. Published pricing and public product information can also be read without a PAIA request. Logged-in users can access their own available chats, lessons, usage and payment history through the app. Public access does not include another learner's private records.

4. Categories of records we hold

SubjectExamples of records
Accounts and consentProfile and provider identifiers, sign-in records, age band, guardian declarations, notice delivery and withdrawal records, and agreement editions.
Educational serviceChats, uploads, extracted text, generated lessons, diagrams and user feedback.
Purchases and financePayment references, receipts, allowances, usage, costs, refunds, disputes and relevant accounting records.
ReferralsInvitation codes, linked accounts, qualifying purchases and reward records.
Operations and securityService settings, technical logs, error reports, access controls and incident records.
Business administrationProvider agreements, business registration records where applicable, support correspondence and legal requests.

Listing a category does not mean every record in it exists or is automatically accessible. Access depends on the request, applicable rights and the grounds for protection or refusal in PAIA. We are not required to create a record that we do not hold.

5. Records connected with other legislation

Records relevant to our activities may be retained under POPIA, PAIA, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, the Consumer Protection Act and the Tax Administration Act. Company and VAT records are subject to the Companies Act and VAT Act where those laws apply to the operator. This list does not make tax, company or third-party information public; each access request is assessed under the applicable law.

6. Requesting a record

  1. Use the current PAIA Form 2 from the Regulator's forms page.
  2. Identify the record sufficiently for us to find it, the right you seek to exercise or protect, and why the record is required for that purpose.
  3. Give your contact details, preferred form of access and evidence of your authority if requesting on someone else's behalf.
  4. Send the request to our Information Officer using the email or physical address above. Ask for assistance if disability, literacy or another access barrier makes the standard process difficult.

We assess requests under section 50 and the other applicable PAIA provisions, including protection of third-party privacy, legally privileged information and other protected records. Where feasible, access to an unprotected part can be considered separately.

We ordinarily communicate a decision within 30 days after receiving the request. A permitted extension of up to a further 30 days requires notice with reasons and information about your right to challenge it. Failure to respond within the applicable period may be treated as a refusal.

7. Fees and challenging a decision

Only fees permitted by PAIA and its current regulations may be charged, subject to applicable exemptions. We will explain any request, search, copying or deposit fee before it becomes payable. The Regulator's PAIA resources provide the current forms and fee information. You may challenge a fee or refusal.

PAIA does not provide an internal statutory appeal against a private body's decision. You may complain to the Information Regulator using the prescribed Form 5 and applicable procedure, generally within 180 days of the decision or deemed refusal, or seek appropriate court relief within the applicable period. The Regulator can explain the available route. PAIA complaints can be sent to PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za or through eServices.

8. Personal information

We process information about learners, account holders, guardians, purchasers, people who contact us and service-provider contacts to run the service, administer purchases, maintain security and meet legal duties. Account, study, transaction, consent and technical information are the main categories. The privacy notice explains each purpose, recipients, foreign processing, retention, safeguards and rights in more detail and forms part of this manual.

Recipients include sign-in, hosting, storage, security, AI, payment, transactional email and PDF-conversion providers and authorised personnel or advisers where needed. Processing can occur outside South Africa, including the EU and US. Access controls, encrypted service connections and private file storage are among the technical safeguards; they do not make every record immune to a security incident.

POPIA requests to confirm, access, correct or delete your own personal information, or to object or withdraw consent, can be directed to the Information Officer. Reasonable identity or authority checks apply. We will explain the applicable process; you need not guess a record name or send unnecessary identity documents simply to ask for help.

9. Availability and maintenance

This manual is available free on this website and can be saved or printed. Ask the Information Officer about inspection at the business address, copies or assistance with an accessible format. The Information Officer maintains the manual as the business and its records change. Its edition appears above.
